Rodeo & Life on the High Plains Art Exhibition. This will be a juried exhibition featuring art that captures the rodeo season and Life on the High Plains. The private Show Opening will be on Friday, June 6th, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the ECAG Art Gallery at 338 Main Street, Elizabeth, CO 80107. The show will run from June 6th to June28th at the ECAG Art Gallery with open hours on Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and appointments on Sunday. If you are interested in entering art for this exhibit, please email ElbertCountyArtistsGuild.org with photos, name of piece(s), description of the art, medium(s) used, dimensions, and price(s) by Monday, May 12th at 5 pm. The ECAG Board will judge entries at their May Board Meeting. The entry fee is $5 per piece for non-members and FREE to ECAG members.
Information for Artists:
To qualify for the competition, you must be an Elbert County Artists Guild (ECAG) Member or pay $5 per artwork submitted. Also, art must be for sale. Submit art to ElbertCountyArtistsGuild@gmail.com. Please include an image of the art, the name of the piece, the medium(s) used, size, approximate weight, and price.

Also, all art must be for sale. There is a 70/30 split for sales. Artist keeps 70% and ECAG keeps 30%. ECAG will market the event and provide the venue. Art will be for sale in the ECAG Art Gallery for all of June. ECAG volunteer sales associates will process the transactions. If your art is accepted, you will receive a consignment contract for your signature. In the contract, there is language that states all art must be legally permissible to sell. This means in part that no copyright laws are violated in creating the art and appropriate releases have been obtained from subjects of photos or photo references. The contract also specifies wall art must be framed with two back hooks one on the left and one on the right with a wire connecting them to be compatible with the ECAG Art Gallery hanging system. For 3-D work, the art must be stand-alone or have an appropriate mount for a flat surface display.

6/28/2025 - If your art is not sold during the month, pick up between 4 pm and 5 pm at ECAG Art Gallery located at 338 Main Street, Elizabeth, CO 80107
